Remember back in the day when we wanted to play a game with a full 360 degree view and sound? That's what the new PlayStation VR (Virtual Reality) delivers. Other virtual games, such as the Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive exist. However, PlayStation & xbox are where the real games are at. (Please correct us if we're wrong).
Those cool looking headsets that we used to wish we could play are finally here. PlayStation just upped the game.
There are many variables to what you can buy. But we are going to focus mainly on the full bundle. For full user experience purposes.
What you get:
- An introdctary VR game: PlayStation VR worlds.
- A motion camera, so VR can detect your movement. Accurately.
- PlayStation Move (most games require it, but isn't necassarily essential).
- Processer Unit (for enhancing VR effect, HDMI output so friends and family can watch)
- Jack Cable for headphones (does not have built in headphones)
- VR headset
The full VR set comes with everything you need to enjoy your Virtual Gaming. The lack of built in headphones is quite a turn off. But this can also be seen as a chance to upgrade the audio depending on your budget, and not have to put up with poor, standard quality. Which can be seen as a good thing really, but they should still come with headphones!
You really are in the virtual gaming world! The headset blocks any light coming in so you can fully enjoy the virtual world without distraction. Just make sure your coffee table is out of the way before you trip over and spill your coffee.
The virtual gaming world is shockingly quiet. we didn't even know about the Oculus Rift, or the HTC Vive. We've only just found out about the PSVR! I mean, we heard about it but yeah. For what it is, it's fairly new, so it's far from perfect. But virtual gaming is finally here! And with Resident Evil 7 available on PSVR, it must be said that horror has been revolutionised, too.
