The cause of the issue is up in the air Many people point towards foreign aid budgets, but this only makes up a small % of spending, which really wouldn't effect the economy.
We live in a grotesquely unequal society. Where the gap between the rich and the poor is wider than ever. Companies use tax havens to legally launder public money, through the cloak of 'privatization'.
When you look at the list of UK companies that have been privatised, you begin to wonder how much we have been ripped off by the Government. As UK citizens, we should have been given a cut of the sale, for funding the public service in the first place. Instead, we are given the 'scraps' of what's left.
The argument that people on benefits and Immigrants being the cause of poverty is laughable after the evidence being presented. If you Google 'how much does the UK spend on Foreign Aid', you will see figures of around £12bn. Which is quite a large chunk of money by the poor man's standards. But here's the reality. That's not even 1% of GDP.
