When I was 10 years old. I discovered Linkin Park. Before I heard this band, I thought that pop music was the best. Because it was all I knew at the time.
But as soon as the introduction of Crawling captivated me. I suddenly realized that there was something better waiting for me, artistically.
I used to listen to all the latest hits that everyone listened to on the Box. Now, I know, you're asking what point am I getting
at here? the point is, Linkin Park put themselves in a situation where they knew they were going to be heard, and they changed my opinion.
This is extremely important for the final chapter. If you skip, or skim read, I highly recommend you listen to the audio book.
You need to know the full story before that part. Because the final chapter of my story, is where I realized life was easier than I thought.
And you will, too.
For now, what me and you are focusing on, is the fact that Linkin Park knew that they were going to deliver to an audience. The same thing happened with Slipknot, it happened with Metallica. And when I tell you who else it worked for. You'll START to realize.
Think of a car. What does every car have? What makes that engine run? No, not the engine. THAT engine? It's questions like this that need an answer.
Because you know what a car needs. You know how to drive a car, if you've passed your test, that is. And you know how to get to your destination.
If you don't know how to get to your destination, what do you use?
